Celebrating Shreveport Architecture – 100 Years in the Making

American Institute of Architecture, Shreveport

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a network of over 98,000 design professionals whose mission is to improve the quality of life in the United States by protecting the public's health and safety, by advocating for the highest standards of practice, and promoting the value of good design.

The AIA Shreveport Chapter was founded on April 18, 1925 by architects Seymour Van Os, Clarence W. King, Edward F. Neild, Sr., J. Paul Annan, Samuel G. Wiener, J. O. Mitchell, and Henry E. Schwarz.

This exhibit is a celebration of the work of these founding architects as well as the architects and firms that followed their example of civic and design leadership.
