Bill Wiener's World

curated by Bruce Allen

After seeing a tattooed number on his grandmother’s friend as a young child and learning of the atrocities of the Holocaust, Bill Wiener Jr. dedicated his energy, time, and resources to civil involvement both locally and nationally. Throughout his adult life, he sought out experiences that strengthened his respect for diversity and the natural environment.

Bill followed in the footsteps of his father and uncle, “The Wiener Brothers,” practicing architecture for over 50 years. In retirement, he has honed his skills as a sculptural artist. Works from throughout his architectural career and retirement are on display on the grounds outside of the museum as well as in our galleries.
